Not only am I a language teacher, but also a passionate traveler. I believe that language learning gains deeper meaning when we don’t just treat it as dry practice of words and sentences but as a genuine experience that extends to the culture, everyday atmosphere, and lifestyle of the country or city. Language learning can also be an adventure, providing opportunities to apply the language in real situations and gather lifelong memories. When we immerse ourselves in the everyday life of a foreign country for shorter or longer periods, we not only learn the most commonly used language phrases and expressions by locals, but also gain insight into the culture, thereby developing our intercultural sensitivity. With this approach, I believe that language learning becomes not only a learning process but also a lifelong skill-building and cultural experience, greatly contributing to better understanding, respecting, and appreciating cultures and customs different from our own.
